Wedding Banquet @ Hotel Intercontinental

Hotel Intercontinental is definitely one of the most beautiful ballrooms we have been to. The crystal chandilier lightings in the ballrom is fabolously romantic. There is also pretty foyer with nice staircase leading to the foyer area -- a great mingling area for the guests. The location near MRT also makes it more accessible for our guests. The key consideration was the price...it is definitely more expensive than what most guests would believe it will cost, but well....it's probably worth it given our love for the place!

And I think we are glad we made the right choice. Our wedding planner Stephanie was instrumental in making the arrangements for us, including giving us the ideas for making our wedding a special one.

Just prior to our wedding, our wedding planner left and Toreen, our new wedding planner was just as helpful, walking through with us all preparatory steps and rehearsals.

On the actual day, the Intercontinental team is very professional and we are truly grateful for them! They executed the night perfectly. Right from the start of the evening, arrangements of AV equipment, cocktail event, the informal entrance via the foyer staircase, to the start of the march-in, , cake-cutting, singing during 2nd march-in, tea-ceremony during the wedding banquet and finally the counting of bottles consumed, serving of our dinner in our rooms -- we were just impressed. Kudos to the Intercontinental team!

Live Wedding Photography by Livestudios

When planning for our wedding banquet, we were deciding between engaging a live band for performances or to live photography team to provide our guests some souvenirs to bring back from our wedding.

In the end, after surveying some of our friends, we settled for the latter and chose Livestudios to do it for our wedding. There are other providers who could do it at a cheaper price, but our experiences with Livestudios at friends' wedding were great, hence the decision was quite easy for us.

We were definitely not disappointed. The outputs were great, the experience was fantastic. The photographer, Lorraine was full of zest and energy. This level of energy is indeed infectious and made everyone really happy. Given that we had many tables, the taking and printing of table shots looked likely to exceed their engagement hours. However, Lorraine and team were obliging and tried their very best to complete everything by the end of the banquet, even when it meant OT for them. We truly salute them for their professionalism!

Wedding Gowns from Divine Couture

After visiting several bridal shops and boutiques, we were still the most impressed by our first visit to Divine Couture -- gorgeous, cosy place at Beach Road (they have since moved to Tank Road), beautiful, classic gown, as well as friendly, affectionate owner & designer, Kim.

The package includes 1 OTR wedding gown, 1 MTM evening gown (which was made perfectly to the way I wanted it to be), 1 MTM suit, 2 bouquets of flower (1 for pre-wedding shoot and 1 for AD), 3 make-up (1 trial, 1 pre-wedding and 1 AD), corsages, as well as car decor for AD.

Overall, it was a great experience with Kim at Divine Couture. Thanks for the lovely gowns :)

Lovely evening gown, designed by Kim

Fuschia pink complements any skin colour...toga style, the way i like. Blink blink accessories from Taiwan...

The best part of the gown must be the back! Low-back finishing skewed to the side, with Divine Couture's signature laces, done to perfection!

Pre-wedding Photoshoot in Singapore -- Lightbox Productions

It's a been a while since we last did an update, but there's just so much to document for our wedding, including our wonderful pre-wedding photoshoot experience with Kwang from Lightbox Productions and gorgeous gowns from Divine Couture's Kim.

Kwang from Lightbox Productions did our Singapore pre-wedding photoshoot. A very easy-going and humorous person, he definitely made a difference to the entire experience. Unlike many photographers who charge for each photo that we ask for, he was not fussy about the number of photos we choose and has no issue giving us the remainder of the photos.

During the shoot, we could also sense his passion for photography, great love for it.. We truly appreciate him following us to the many locations, even braving the rain at Marina Barage till late night -- all for the love of getting the perfect shots!
